The Ste-Anne River Outfitters Association is a non-profit organization founded in 1979 by Mr Guy Paul Brouillette. It is dedicated to promoting and advertising tomcod fishing in Ste-Anne-de-la-Pérade.

Every season, the Outfitters Association works to ensure the smooth operation of free outdoor activities related to ice fishing and of the booking office. It is also the spokesperson when communicating with the media.

The Association counts about twenty members (outfitters) and its board of directors is elected every two years at a general election. The present council members are:

  • Gabriel Simard, vice-president
  • Steve Massicotte, spokesperson
  • André Daigle, administrator
  • Gabriel Simard, administrator

The Outfitters Association shares the river with the community and therefore works in close collaboration with the Ministry of Sustainable Development, Environment and Parks. It is also in charge of wildlife preservation and site quality.
